The Full Story

I’m Manveer Singh, born and raised in Uttarakhand near the Himalayas, in a farming family close to Rishikesh. Working the fields with my father, I fell in love with growing organic vegetables, grains, lentils, and spices, learning the heart of quality ingredients that’s made me a better chef. With over twenty years as a chef across India, I’ve mastered multi-cuisine kitchens. Now, I run Manveer’s Kitchen , a vibrant restaurant at Forget Me Not Resort on Agonda Beach, Goa, where you can enjoy soulful dishes, meet me, and book hands-on cooking classes. My classes offer two experiences: North Indian home-style cooking from my family’s recipes and modern Indian restaurant-style dishes from my training. Living in Goa with my wife Kavita and son Mani Singh, I invite you to swing by Manveer’s Kitchen , taste the flavors, and join me to learn the secrets of Indian cooking!

Secrets of Indian Culinary Craft

Join me, Manveer Singh, in Secrets of Indian Culinary Craft class to master restaurant-style Indian cuisine in a lively group of six to ten, perfect for crafting and sharing a feast. We’ll start by gathering fresh ingredients, and I’ll guide you in creating three essential base gravies and a vibrant tandoori marinade from scratch. Then, we’ll prepare mixed veg pakora and chai, enjoying a 20-minute break to savor them. Back in class, watch me create four main courses-butter chicken, palak paneer, chana masala, and dal-paired with rice and chapati, while you assist with prep. Want different dishes? Chat with me before booking to customize from the menu at Manveer’s Kitchen at Forget Me Not Resort. We’ll taste the meal together, then make and enjoy a delicious halwa dessert. Recipe cards are provided for all standard dishes, but custom choices require your own notes, as I’ll need time to prepare those recipes. This 4 to 4.5-hour hands-on class includes the full meal, giving you pro techniques and a memorable dining experience.

Secrets of Home-Style Indian Cooking

Join me, Manveer Singh, in Secrets of Home-Style Indian Cooking to master cherished family recipes from my Himalayan roots in a friendly group of six to ten, perfect for sharing a heartwarming feast. We’ll gather fresh ingredients, and I’ll guide you in crafting a comforting dal, home-style seasonal mixed vegetables, home-style chicken curry, and homestyle bhindi (okra) curry from scratch, paired with fluffy rice and soft chapati, while you help with prep. Want different dishes? Contact me before booking to discuss possibilities, and I’ll suggest the perfect menu. We’ll also whip up mixed veg pakoda with zesty green chutney and masala chai, savoring them during a 20-minute break. After enjoying the meal together, we’ll create and savor a delicious halwa dessert. This 4 to 4.5-hour hands-on class at my home cooking school in Goa includes the full meal and recipe cards for all standard dishes (custom choices need your own notes, as I’ll need time to prepare those recipes). You’ll leave with treasured techniques to bring the warmth of Indian home cooking to your table!
